Stiller-Aniston Flick Has Ferrets' Friends Fuming

Ben Stiller, starring in the romantic comedy "Along Came Polly" with Jennifer Aniston, had a difficult time with one of his co-stars. He received a bite but, unfortunately, it wasn't a nip from Mrs. Pitt.

No, he was bitten on the chin by a ferret that's featured in the film.

Stiller needed a rabies shot after the little fellow got hold of his jaw. But Ben's troubles didn't end there. The actor referred to his fuzzy co-star and its extended family as "rat-like creatures." Aniston didn't help matters. She joined in calling the ferret "just a big rat at the end of the day."

Devotees of the critters haven't been so angry since the prankster docs on "M*A*S*H" nicknamed Frank Burns "Ferret Face."

"I have owned five ferrets, and to see Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston using them as a joke is ridiculous," one ferret fan posted on a movie Web site.

Staci Wilson of Ferrets magazine told the New York Post, "People are upset with the actors for saying disparaging things about ferrets without knowing what they're talking about." Wilson is a member of an underground ferret "rescue" group called Ferrets Anonymous.

The Left Coast Report thought Ferrets Anonymous was a 12-step program for kicking the addiction to ferret flamb.
