Or maybe ask the guys at the Rose Bowl soaring Festival few years ago who got their heads handed to them by JW flying a 2-channel foamy 2-meter beater how they feel about this issue. I think the point that Gordy was making (and GOOD GOD STRIKE ME DEAD NOW!) and that I agree with, is that by and large, the differences between the major competitive airfoils are largely academic in the hands of "most" of us. I have always wanted to build 5 identical TD planes with 7035, 7037, MH32 and so on airfoils. Then take them out to the field and let 10 normal guys fly them and try to sort which is which. I will bet that you would get 10 different lists. Nothing to get our knickers in a twist over. But I think that once you cross a certain performance level, what you are flying makes far less difference than how much you are flying (and practicing effectively). All you guys on the right, take a couple of steps back. We need a little more room over there :~} Thanks. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bill Malvey RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
