Could someone instruct me on mounting a one piece v tail on
a fuselage? I have a Snipe (wingeron) with a fiberglass fuse. I was
wondering how to get the decalage correct without too much fanfare. I
know that I have to get the v tail mounted so that the plane flies with a nose
down attitude. Obviously incidence meters won’t work on the v
tail. The instructions call for making a couple slots in the fuse so that
the one piece v tail can slide in on the fuse and then glue it in after you set
the correct incidence. I’m assuming the correct incidence is -1.5
to -2.5 degrees? But how do I jig it up so that I get that correct
measurement? I know that I could adjust the wing incidence fairly easily because
it is a wingeron, but I would want to mount the v tail so that I don’t
have to set the wing incidence to far off. Aloha to all on RCSE, Al Battad – WH6VE AMA #506981 |
