Yes Martin, you've told me that before concerning content filtering. Although it's true that the devil is in the details on that, the main goal is to alert teachers and education buyers to the existence of the school server; their IT people tasked with benchmarking, testing, deploying will want to know more anyway about how it works, but we raise the probability of reaching them if teachers know it exists beforehand.
In my experience at home with my kids, a basic whitelist (added to by request) for ages 5-10, switched to a blacklist for ages 11-13, then filtering removed at 14 seemed to work best. Although it was annoying to tune the content filter, it did give me a good idea of what the kids wanted to do online without standing over their shoulder the whole time. Accompanied by lessons about online safety, anonymity, quitting if uncomfortable in a chat context, etc. We imagine that at first typical Sugar on a Stick deployments will be local to a school, not multi-school.
