The XS work done by Martin and others has been excellent, and XS compatibility for SoaS is an important milestone to target, but we're not there yet; same rationale as listed in http://lists.sugarlabs.org/archive/soas/2010-May/001274.html - what we need to do is figure out a game plan for how the XS (in specific - and other cool potential features in general) can be tested with SoaS specifically so that we can make sure it works, which is a prerequisite to supporting it and announcing it as a feature. Generally speaking, since we're a community of volunteers, those who handle the support questions determine what questions they'll actually support. ;-) I added this to http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/Sugar_on_a_Stick_meetings#Agenda as a topic to discuss: "The more general notion of a feature process (are Activities a special type of feature?) on how things become supported/official parts of SoaS - for instance, how would the XS, or an alternative install method, become an official feature, and when?" This depends on whether people who are interested in seeing this as a supported (and therefore publicized) feature in v4 are also willing to step up and do the work - --Mel _______________________________________________ SoaS mailing list [email protected] http://lists.sugarlabs.org/listinfo/soas
