EverySignal Looks To Filter Social Noise, With Backing From Science
----
In a world where we are overwhelmed with social updates ("had a turkey
sandwich for lunch", "just went for a walk"), how do you cut through
all that noise and actually learn about important things going on in
your personal networks without spending 100 percent of your time on
Facebook or other sites? A new, Los Angeles startup, EverySignal looks
to be tackling that problem with its new service. (More...)

MySpace Shows Off New, Sexy UI
----
In what looks like a plan by Specific Media to revamp the relevance of
former social networking giant MySpace as a choice for social
networking, the firm is showing a new video of a revamped user
interface for the site. The user interface includes full screen
graphics, modern styling, right left scrolling, Pinterest-style
tagging and conversations, and much more. MySpace is pointing its
users to the new video, but did not say when it expects to release the
new user interface to users of the service. Specific Media got a huge
bargain buying MySpace--it paid a mere $35M for the site in
2011--after MySpace failed to counter the rise of Facebook in the
social networking world.
