The firm recently showed up as one of the fastest growing companies in LA as part of the Deloitte Fast 500 rankings. We caught up with Damir Davidovic, CEO of NEOGOV, to hear about the rapidly growing (and hiring) company. What is Neogov? Damir Davidovic: NEOGOV is a cloud-based, human resources suite. It basically covers recruiting, performance, evaluations and appraisals, (More...) http://bit.ly/XhUSI9 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- IOGEAR Mobile Charger Targets Power Hungry Consumers ---- Foothill Ranch-based IOGEAR is targeting power-hungry mobile users with its latest product, a new mobile charging station which boasts 11,000mAh of power. IOGEAR said today that its new Ultra Capacity Mobile Power Station let users charge up to two devices via a pair of USB powers, supporting such products as power hungry iPads and tablets, as well as iPhones, Android phones, iPods, and other accessories. IOGEAR said the new device will be sold both through its own site and through online retailers, and has a MSRP of $69.95. ServiceNow Wins CoreSite ---- San Diego-based cloud IT automation software provider ServiceNow reported this morning that it has been selected by data center operator CoreSite Realty Corporation. ServiceNow said that CoreSite will use its products to automate its businesses processes, including internal IT incident management and customer-facing service ordering. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. CoreSite operates 14 data centers across nine U.S. markets. Seesmart Technologies Acquired By Revolution Lighting ---- Simi Valley-based Seesmart Technologies, a provider of LED lighting products, has been acquired by Revolution Lighting, in a deal worth $20M in cash and stock. According to Revolution Lighting Technologies, which develops LED lighting products, Seesmart's product line is highly complementary to its existing products, and Seesmart's distributors and sales representatives also help bolster its distribution. Broadcom Debuts New Processor Line ---- Irvine-based Broadcom announced this morning that it has debuted a new line of processors, aimed at classification, forwarding, and security applications in networking equipment. The firm's new NLA12000 Series, a 28 nanometer device, is aimed at 3G/4G mobile infrastructure, data center and enterprise environments. The new "knowledge processor" is used for layer 2-4 processing in networks, for use in switches, service gateways, security appliances and mobile infrastructure equipment. Broadcom said the new product is sampling now, with production expected in the first half of 2013. Triton Digital Powers Xbox Music Service ---- Los Angeles-based Trigon Digital, the provider of digital advertising anf other services to both the traditional and online radio market, is powering a number of features of the new, free music streaming service from Microsoft, Xbox Music, the company said this week. Triton said the new Xbox service will use its measurement, ad sales network, and ad insertion technologies as part of its free streaming services. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Triton Digital's services will be used to serve and measure audio ads on the Xbox Music service. Triton Digital is backed by Oaktree Capital Management, and is headed by Neal Schore; the firm's board includes such former Ticketmaster head Sean Moriarty. PriceGrabber: Thanksgiving Holiday Traffic Grows 14 Percent ---- PriceGrabber, the online comparison shopping site based in Los Angeles, reported lsat week that it saw a 14 percent year-over-year growth in traffic from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday shopping. (More...) http://bit.ly/Svbg4L StockTwits Mines Sentiment Data ---- StockTwits, the online stock-focused financial discussion service based in San Diego, said today that it has launched a new feature of the site, showing sentiment data and message volume to its ticker pages. The new feature mines data recently added to the service to figure out if stock investors are more positive or negative in their discussions of different stocks. StockTwits said the new feature comes as it looks to provide information on social momentum on different stocks, based on messages from StockTwits community. StockTwits is headed by Howard Lindzon. Calacanis Backs Red Tricycle ---- Prolific angel investor Jason Calacanis has backed the operator of an online service which provides parents with information about local activities, restaurants, stores, and more, Red Tricycle.
