----
Los Angeles-based Factual has renamed its Geopulse API, its API for
providing demographic data based on geolocation information, to
Geopulse Context, as part of what it called a major relaunch of the

Microsemi Licenses Technology To Microphase, Exits Market Segment
----
Aliso Viejo-based semiconductor maker Microsemi annoucned this morning
that it has licensed its detector log video amplifier (DLVA)
technology to Microphase Corporation, and is exiting that market.
Financial terms of the licensing deal were not disclosed. Microsemi
said the move is part of an ongoing facility consolidation plan for
the company. Microphase is a developer of microwave and RF products
for the military communications and electronic warfare systems market.
Microsemi said the move would have no effect on its revenues.

Semtech Names Two Board Members
----
Camarillo-based analog and mixed signal semiconductor supplier Semtech
Corporation has added two members to its board of directors, the firm
said Wednesday. Semtech said it has appointed Sylvia Summers and Dr.
Carmelo Santoro to its board. Summers was previously CEO and President
of Trident Microsystems, and also served at Spansion LTD, Cisco
Systems, Inc. and Storagetek. She also serves on the board of
Headwaters, Inc. Santoro is at Santoro Technology Associates, a
strategic planning and business consulting firm; he also served as
President and CEO of Attensity, and has been at Platinum Software
Corporation and Silicon Systems.

AnyMeeting: We're Better Than WebEx, GoToMeeting
----
Online web conferencing provider AnyMeeting has a challenge: it
believes its services are better suited for small business than both
WebEx and GoToMeeting, the incumbents in the web conferencing space.

EAT Club Finds Funding From Siemer Ventures, Brian Lee

Two, Southern California investors are part of a new funding round
today for EAT Club, a startup which automatically delivers lunch to
professionals' desks every day based on their preferences. EAT Club
said it raised $5M in a Series A funding this morning, from August
Capital, First Round Capital, Great Oaks Capital, as well as
LaunchCapital, Tekton Ventures, Siemer Ventures, Brian Lee (of
ShoeDazzle and LegalZoom), Niren Hiro (AdMob), Aki Sano (Cookpad),
Michael Kinsbergen (Nedstat), and Mark Vadon (Blue Nile, Zulily). EAT
Club is based in the Bay Area, where it currently offers its services.
