The report, citing "several people familiar with the matter", said that a consortium of private equity firms, include Blackstone Group, Carlyle Group, and Temasek Holdings, are in the midst of submitting their own offer for Life Technologies. NetDNA Taps Startup For CDN Monitoring ---- Los Angeles-based content deliver network operator NetDNA has tapped a Y-Combinator funded startup for a new, real time monitoring service. NetDNA and Leftronic said this week that NetDNA is launching a new, real-time data visualization dashboard for its CDN service, powered by Leftronic. NetDNA said the new dashboard lets users gain access to traffic data, including daily, weekly and monthly statistics; details on popular files, file types, and satus codes, and more. Financial arrangements between the two companies were not disclosed; the two said that the dashboard is free for the first month and then costs $42 per month. YouTube To Stream Coachella Music Festival ---- Can't get a ticket to the Coachella music festival this year in Indio (or don't want to brave the desert heat and crowds)? YouTube announced Tuesday afternoon that it will be streaming the popular music festival live this year--again-from the official Coachella YouTube Channel. YouTube said it will have a three-channel feed of the live performances from five stages, plus also include interviews and more. Coachella starts streaming Friday at 3:30pm, according to YouTube. Apparently, Machinima has around 200M monthly video views in the United Kingdom. Docstoc's various documents--including things like partnership agreements, NDAs, confidentiality agreements, and much more--are now available for purchase through Microsoft Office 2013. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed. The firm said it would make its services available as part of SHIFT's Open Marketing Cloud product. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Fan Appz said that SHIFT's customers include American Express, Marriott, Verizon and Toyota. Fan Appz develops software geared at helping brands turn their fans into customers; the firm's tools include viral sweepstakes and social games tools. Boingo, AT&T Partner On Roaming Agreement ---- Los Angeles-based Wi-Fi network operator Boingo Wireless is in a major roaming agreement deal, this time with AT&T. According to the companies, the link gives AT&T's customers access to Boingo's global network of Wi-Fi hotspots, particularly for international travelers, via AT&T's Wi-Fi International App. The two said the app will give AT&T customers up to 1 GB of Wi-Fi each month at no additional charge. In addition, Boingo customers will gain access to T&T's network of Wi-Fi hotspots throughout the United States. Financial details of the link were not disclosed. Qualstar Names New CFO ---- Simi Valley-based data storage and power supply provider Qualstar announced yesterday that it has named Philip G. Varley as its new Chief Financial Officer. Varley was most recently at financial consulting firm Barrington Group, where he had been CFo at DemandPoint and a number of turnaround companies.
