Sony PlayStation Network Knocked Offline Overnight
----
It looks like Sony just can't get a break from hackers nowadays, as
news came Monday that Sony's Playstation Network (PSN) was knocked
offline for hours on Sunday night, as a result of a massive

Sony has been dealing with ongoing hacker activity against its service
for months. Apparently, the group behind the DDoS attack on Sony was
also behind a similar DDoS attack on Xbox Live on Friday. That group
is apparently different from the group believed to be behind a
different attack on Sony's corporate network, which has apparently
resulted in the release of 47,000 Social Security numbers of former
and current employees and countless confidential corporate documents.
