Hannan as the company's Chief Financial Officer. Hannan was previously VP, Treasurer, and CFO of radio station operator Cumulus Media. He also was CFO of Modern Luxury Media, and served at Lincoln Financial Media and Lambert Television. Social Reality develops advertising automation tools and real-time bidding (RTB) management software, and is led by Christopher Miglino. The company recently upgraded its public listing to the NASDAQ. Illumina Boosts Public Gene Database ---- San Diego-based gene sequencing equipment maker Illumina said on Thursday that it has contributed 95,000 human genetic variants to a public database, CliniVar, which is run by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). The company said the contribution will help the advancement and understanding of genomics in health and disease. The data was generated by Illumina's Clinical Services Laboratory. Report: Qualcomm Nears Final $34.7 Billion Bid For NXP Semiconductor ---- San Diego-based Qualcomm is nearing a deal to buy NXP Semiconductors NV, according to Bloomberg, citing "people familiar with the process. Bloomberg said the deal is rumored to be worth between $110 to $120M in cash a share, or $34.7 billion. The company said this morning that it has launched TigerFlow, a clinical communications platform, aimed at use by care teams. TigerText explained the new product combines its mobile communication platform with data integration capabilities with legacy care and technology systems, to help coordinate care--such as integration with clinical information and EHR systems, lab result notifications, scheduling software, and more. Seriously's New Game Wants To Be Your BFF ---- Venice-based mobile game developer Seriously has launched a sequel to its immensely popular Best Fiends game, called Best Fiends Forever. The game, which is free to download, is the first sequel to Best Fields, which was launched in October of 2014. Seriously said that Best Fiends is now seeing over two million daily active players. The new, cleverly named game is available for both Android and iOS. The new game features quite a bit of Hollywood talent -- the music was composed by Despicable Me's Heitor Pereira, and the game was written by producer and writer Stewart Burns, known for The Simpsons.
