According to the company, its tool runs on iOS, Android, and through a responsive web app, and lets users find a new car, connect with a local dealership that sells that car, apply for financing, and select lenders for their purchase. AutoGravity says it currently only offers its service in California. AutoGraity is led by founder and CEo Andy Hinrichs. http://www.socaltech.com/autogravity_debuts_car_financing_app/s-0068433.html Neustar Acquired By Golden Gate Capital For $2.9 Billion ---- Neustar, a provider of marketing data, risk management, DNS and DDoS protection services, and more--which has offices in Los Angeles and San Diego--has been acquired by Golden Gate Capital for approximately $2.9 billion. Neustar said Wednesday that Golden Gate Capital will pay $33.50 per share in cash for the publicly traded company, which trades on the NYSE as NSR. Neustar is based in Sterling, Virginia. Neustar shows a range of software and analyst positions on its job board out of both LA and San Diego. Coding Dojo Opens Campus In Orange County ---- Coding Dojo the operator of coding bootcamps and classes, has expanded ito Orange County, the company announced on Wednesday. The company said that it opened up the new campus in Orange County in addition to a new location in Berkeley, California. Coding Dojo is based in the Seattle area. The company said its new campus is at 3333 Susan St. in Costa Mesa, and has more than 12,000 square feet. The funding was led by MGM, and also included prior investors Lux Capital, Shasta Ventures, Danhua Capital, Shanda Holdings, Felicis Ventures and Dentsu Ventures. The company's mug--which can also be used for tea or other beverages--is already selling at Starbucks stores and online. According to Ember, the funding has come from such celebrities as Demi Lovato, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas, Alex Pall and Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers, NFL players Ndamukong Suh and Prince Amukamara, and Former MLB pitcher Ted Lilly, among others. Musk apparently has joined with other executives--including Uber CEO Travis Kalanick--on a "Strategic and Policy Forum" for the administration. It's unclear how much heed or attention the President-Elect, or if Musk can help explain science to a highly skeptical administration.
