February 9, Irvine -- TCVN Workshop: Structure Your Company the Right Way.
Choosing a structure for your company is typically a confusing and
difficult process. Ask three lawyers and get five different answers!
Corporation or LLC? Delaware, California or Nevada? C-corp. or S-corp.?
Confused? Many factors come into play when choosing an organizational
structure. While most choices are not irrevocable, it is in entrepreneur’s
best interest to make a well-informed decision early. See

February 25, Pasadena -- Caltech Entrepreneurs Forum - Entertainment.
Southern California is still the home of Hollywood -- the symbolic name
for the motion picture industry, but that industry has changed
dramatically in recent years. Many of the studios have sizable in-house
technology development operations, but all acquire technology or
technology products from outside their corporate borders. The program is
designed to help would be developers and sellers of new movie-related
technologies navigate among the giants, learn what areas might provide
opportunities, and avoid areas where scale and other industry
characteristics render it unlikely that a startup will make inroads. See

February 27, Los Angeles -- StartEngine Equity Crowdfunding Workshop.
StartEngine is organizing the first equity crowdfunding one day free

spend thousands of dollars on an accountant, lawyer, copywriter and other
vendors to get their campaign to go live plus many dozen of hours in
preparation time. The workshop provides all of these services at no cost.
The idea of a same day go live workshop is helpful for entrepreneurs who
are very busy. Contact Howard Marks, CEO at [email protected] .
