Alignment Healthcare's technology and integrated care coordination is used by healthcare providers to manage the "most complex" patients in Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial HMO populations. The company is led by John Kao. The funding was led by Pelion Venture Partners, and also included Rincon Venture Partners, Crosscut Ventures, Lerer Hippeau Ventures, Founder Collective, Revel Partners and TenOneTen. Conversion Logic, which is led by CEO Brian Baumgart, said it has now raised $14.1M in total funding. The company said it will use the new funding for sales and marketing, data science and engineering efforts. Los Angeles-based Tinder apparently has been running a secret, invite-only version of the app called Tinder Select, which only the more elite users--think super models, celebrities, and CEOs--can use. The funding came from Glendale-based printing, packaging, and label giant Avery Dennison. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Bizzy develops email marketing automation software aimed at small-to-medium sized companies. SendGrid said it will use Bizzy's team and software to bring new capabilities to its Marketing Campaigns product.
