According to CrowdStrike, the new levels for its Falcon OverWatch service will include a "Standard", "Essential", and "Elite" level, depending on how much assistance CrowdStrike is providing to the company. Pricing on the various levels of service were not announced. HyperX Distributes Gaming Headset At GameStop ---- Fountain Valley-based HyperX, the videogaming division of Kingston Technology Company, says it has begun distributing its HyperX Cloud Stinger gaming headset at all of GameStop's stores in the United States. HyperX ssaid the move will help to grow retail sales for its gaming headset business. The headset costs just under $50. Osurv Acquired By Private Equity Investor ---- Los Angeles-based Osurv, a developer of mobile survey software, announced on Friday that it has been acquired by Singapore private equity investor Tan Capital Partners. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Osurv was founded in 2012, and was led by Jad Meouchy. The company said its tools are used by such brands as Caesars Entertainment and Casio to collect and analyze data from their customers, in real time. Osurv said Tan Capital Partners will integrate its technology into nearly 800 hotels that Tan Capital owns and operates throughout Asia. Osurv was backed by StartEngine, and was part of StartEngine back when it was a startup accelerator. Vendr Takes On Craigslist With Marketplace App ---- A new, Los Angeles startup, Vendr is taking on Craiglist with an app that it says will help to allow users to buy and sell items locally without the fear of being robbed. Vendr said it has created a cashless, local marketplace app, which lets users reserve a product using their credit card, keeps that money in escrow, and only release it once a user has received an item. The startup said it is looking to help users afraid of "murders, robberies and assaults" which have been documented on local marketplaces like Craiglist, OfferUp, and other services.
