=>
=>hi,
=>
=>a non-profit organization is having an event and they
=>need to run a video cable over 1000 ft, which the
=>renting of it is kind of expensive they were told. the
=>idea of streaming live video through wireless
=>connections came up. the incoming feed would be from a
=>digital video camera.
=>
=>has anyone does such a thing before? the points
=>between transmission are about 1000ft and have a clear
=>line of sight.
=>
=>would appreciate if folks could share their
=>experiences with respect to pitfalls, suggestions,
=>software to use and hardware needed. if there are
=>quick and dirty ways to build antennas if needed for
=>this, would appreciate information on that.
=>
=>i hope all this could be done either under GNU/Linux
=>or FreeBSD.
=>
=>Thank you,
=>
=>with regards
=>Shiva.
