I don't believe either of those products can be placed in line, in between
the transmitter and the antenna on the coax to measure transmit power/SWR.

I may have found what I'm looking for. If it works I'll show it at an
upcoming meeting. It's only a few hundred dollars.

        Hi Frank,
I remember you were interested in Bantam Instruments products at one
time.
The make handheld spectrum analyzers. I gave a demo at one of the
Pasadena Meetings.

I think they have Wattmeter capability, but not positive. Check them
out.
They support all the frequency ranges requested below, but not sure
if all in a single unit.

I was lookin' around and found:

What is the price-range you are thinking, Frank? Price sure
seems to drive the features/portability designs of this stuff, and the used
market is not really there yet.

I am looking for an IFR 1200S but don't want to spend $8K
for one...

I'm looking for a inexpensive device to measure RF
output on 2.4Ghz. 5GHz
and 900MHz would be a plus. SWR as well.

I know that Bird has these. But they seem to only go
up to 2.4GHz.

I Also found these at around $1,400:

Or will I need to build one of these:
