I like this wide range meter for ham use:

Sorry, no way to extend the range of the Daiwa.

There's plenty of Amateur Spectrum within the range of the Daiwa. Should
work fine for 1.2GHz D-Star or ATV equipment.

Daiwa stuff is usually pretty good.

Is there a way to extend the range lower? Would be nice if it also was good
for some of the ham bands, eh?

I'm told it has +/- 15% accuracy. But IMHO that's not bad for the price.
Better than nothing when trying to diagnose a bad cable or antenna. I'm
going to test it against a Bird meter.
