Hi. I am looking for a remote dialtone solution for a client. They have a modem in a remote location, but no phone line trenched to that location. I'm trying to avoid them trenching by using a wireless solution.
I have been reviewing the Dailtone-over-powerline products recommended for adding a phone jack on the far side of a house. (Like one would use for a DirecTV or Tivo set top box. - see below for links.) But the setting I am working from is hardwired on both sides of the powerline. I can get one regular 11AC jack installed with little difficulty, but the other is running up conduit directly into a circuit breaker box. The powerline products all plug in to regular AC outlets. I was looking for a 900MHz dialtone extension product (ideal) or perhaps a modem extender that would extend the serial modem output of a wireless link (needs more engineering). Has anyone come across this yet? Any ideas? Thanks, Mike O. Ac outlet dialtone extender: http://phonex.com/prd_wj.htm 900 MHz dialtone extender: ____________________________?
