I really like the content of this thread. The topic has sparked a very
heated discussion touching on disruptive technologies and how companies can,
should, or should not handle the disruption. This is a seriously timely
topic and is permeating society. I know of no other group that can explore
the effects better than SOCALWUG members.

However, I feel compelled to post a new SOCALWUG list rule:

"Feel free to attack a list-member's ideas. Not the listmember."

We are all in this together afterall. Let's not forget the loosely defined
SOCALWUG philosophy:

"As we grow, we will continue to evolve and address the interests of
the group as a whole. Wireless is here to stay, the SOCALWUG is here to
help."

Let's keep personal attacks to a minimum and openly humourous where
possible. Blast anyone's ideas like there is no tomorrow, though. I
realize this will induce self-edits. But I want to make the thousands of
list-members feel welcome to post without fear of the kind of retribution
that kills open discussion on other lists and web forums.

Thanks,
Mike O.

PS: Check out the book "Mobile Disruption" by Jeff Funk,
