Brian, The Wifi-Toys (http://www.wifi-toys.com) antenna will help. Anything to get the antenna out of the house and allow line of sight will make a difference. You'll need the lowest loss cable you can install. Normally LMR400, try to keep it less than 10 or 12 feet, the signal loss can be extreme. The Wifi-Toys book has great instructions on assembling your coax.
If you don't have time to build your own, this is an inexpensive high gain antenna: http://www.wlanparts.com/product/P2418 and cable http://www.wlanparts.com/category/cables/ These are antennas with the radio built in. With these you simply put the antenna/radio on the roof and run an ethernet cable to the inside. Powered over Ethernet. You can run a 300' Ethernet cable from the antenna and eliminate the coax loss. Also makes for an easy install: http://www.wlanparts.com/product/TRCPE20015 or http://www.wlanparts.com/product/CBROO1 Frank ---------------------------------- Pasadena Networks, LLC http://www.pasadena.net > -----Original Message----- > On Behalf Of Brian Lopez > > hi, I'm interested in purchasing a outdoor antenna for my > wmp54g desktop > card.
