If you are too far from the CO to get DSL, get a T1 at $499 from TierZero and share broadband internet with your neighbors over wifi. Have 9 of them chip in $50 per month and you are at the same price point as dsl. Have 10 of them chip in and your T1 is paid for.

Wifi is so the enabler.  :)
