A number of them are so self-evident, that explaining why they are
problems is incredibly difficult.

Going off on a tangent, it would be useful to apply General Systems
Theory to OOo. That might show what, where, why, and how the problems
exist to end users, for whom they are not self-evident.

One little shove, in the right direction, it will be an insignificant
project. A memory of what could have been.
And something I don't see, is the OOo leaders taking steps to minimize
the effects of that shove.
