How often do you pray? Is that how you pray? Expecting to control God's
actions by praying may turn out to be a disappointing experience. I
pray, but not because I think I can tell God what to do.
I don't think he is saying that this is how it should be, but in
practice a lot of people try to use prayer to change things to control
how they want. "Please God let me win the lotto."
