Hi Everyone,

I have been wondering about the standardization of pubsub nodes in a roster. This may belong more in JDev, but I think it is pretty applicable here, as Pubsub is in the forefront of many of the things we have been talking about. I will give a simple use case to describe the problem:

Imagine an RSS app, where every website is a node. Obviously, it would be nice to have a way to display which feeds I am subscribed to, and how many unread messages I have from each. At the moment, from reading the XEP, I can't find a way to do this in a standardized way.

Is there an agreed upon method (just put them in the roster and do as if they are always available)? It seems to me that it might be worthwhile standardizing this. I may have totally missed an agreed upon solution, but it looks like this has been touched on before:

Any thoughts on the matter are welcome.

Thanks!

Itay
