Hello,
I'm new to the Soekris product. I have a Net4801 board with a
HardDisk that will be boot medium. I've been reading the list, and
some of the good references -- all have been very helpful.
I'm attempting to install FreeBSD-based pfSense to a HDD in my
Soekris via pxeboot. I've been following the instructions at
http://www.ultradesic.com/?section=145.
I've got pfsense's bootable "LiveCD" (installer disc) mounted @ a
tftpd server, responding to a pxeboot request via a DHCPd-assigned
network address.
Everything's worked perfectly to this point.
However, On "boot f0" on the Soekris, I see readable text at the
pfsense's default 9600 baud connection,
Read the docs about terminal speed. http://www.soekris.com/Manuals/

but paging/scrolling is screwy -- eventually scrolling back to the
term top, rewriting onto a single line -- and, the boot process
eventually hangs.
Here's what I'm seeing at the hang in the terminal window:

Note the clipped line-starts. And, the process gets no further.
I see exactly the same behavior whether I use c-kermit, Screen or
Minicom terminal emulators.
I'll readily admit, I'm not sure where the problem lies.
Any ideas/help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
