Just looked in my own 4801. I see the same unlabelled component... It seems not to have a polarity and there are more lookalikes on the board. That suggests a resistor or capacitor. No diode or electrolitic cap. Would be nice if it was just a protection for what happened to you. A fuse or a 0 ohm resistor. I'm affraid only Soeren and his team can tell what it is.
