 You can use this procedure: 
http://64.124.13.3/hacks/USB_Boot_using_GRUB.html

 While you can not boot directly from a USB device on a Soekris box, you 
can do a
'Redirected Boot' using the above. You would put a Linux Kernel on a 
flash disk
and point to to a 'Labeled' CD.
