John, You can use this procedure: http://64.124.13.3/hacks/USB_Boot_using_GRUB.html
While you can not boot directly from a USB device on a Soekris box, you can do a 'Redirected Boot' using the above. You would put a Linux Kernel on a flash disk and point to to a 'Labeled' CD. -- William Estrada [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mt-Umunhum-Wireless.net ( http://Mt-Umunhum-Wireless.net ) Ymessenger: MrUmunhum > essage: 3 > Date: Tue, 08 Apr 2008 13:48:18 -0400 > From: "John Mealey III" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: [Soekris] Reasons for not being able to boot from a USB > CDROM? > To: <[email protected]> > Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII > > It occured to me that the complex nature of loading on > OS onto a Soekris box might be helped some if it could > boot from a USB CDROM drive throught he onboard port. > > Anyone know of why this was not an option? > > Kind Regards, > > John Mealey > _______________________________________________ Soekris-tech mailing list [email protected] http://lists.soekris.com/mailman/listinfo/soekris-tech
