I did next: 0. Configure your vmx as much as soekris is: no sound, sda for CF, 256 MBram, etc. 1. install in vmx all you need, include kernel-source 2. look for a .config file for your soekris. if you use mandriva, look some configures I've paste in mandriva pastebin. Install kernel. 3. configure your grub for soekris, look for in debian there are such document. tell grub default kernel is the one you 've compilled 4. move your CF into sokeris
