After about some 20 or 30 power-off/power-on cycles, and hundreds of corresponding POST tests, I pressed the reset button. And whow: I got FreeBSD to boot! (This was on 3Gb/s; i.e. withOUT the 1.5Gb/s jumper). However, after shutting down FreeBSD and trying again, the same old POST failures continue, and I have not been successfull with reset either. But as far as I can see this means that the soekris 5501 hardware and the Barracuda can actually work together. So I guess the problem is in the BIOS somehow? _______________________________________________ Soekris-tech mailing list [email protected] http://lists.soekris.com/mailman/listinfo/soekris-tech
