I run Transcend 4G with no problems at all - but the 8G isn't even
recognised by the BIOS (1.33c).

While SanDisk maybe a good brand, I wouldn't go for anything larger than

8Gb.  While it is meant to work in theory I believe there to be a 
comBIOS bug that may prevent at least one well known operating system 
from booting correctly.

The card I have is a: SanDisk SDCFH-016G

This does not work on the comBIOS 'c' revision, which I believe to still

be the latest.


See my previous threads in this mailing-list archive on the exact 
problem, my guess is that the BIOS computes an invalid geometry, 
probably due to overflow or zero/negative value in arithmetic.

I have it on understanding from others that smaller cards work fine.
