It does indeed seem to be so. I just soldered up a null-modem cable and the serial works very nicely indeed with that, so I feel reasonably sure it was auto-powerdown surprising me. I do, however, find some parameters in the BIOS that the manual doesn't document. I've got "comBIOS ver. 1.33 20080103", and "show" lists ConSpeed = 19200 ConLock = Enabled ConMute = Disabled BIOSentry = Enabled PCIROMS = Enabled PXEBoot = Enabled FLASH = Primary BootDelay = 5 FastBoot = Disabled BootPartition = Disabled BootDrive = 80 FF FF FF ShowPCI = Enabled Reset = Hard CpuSpeed = Default but the only manual I can find - http://soekris.com/media/manuals/net4501_manual.pdf - lists only ConSpeed, ConLock, BIOSentry, PCIROMS, FLASH, and BootDelay. Any pointers to documentation on the others? I recall seeing BootDrive discussed on the list, but don't recall anything for the rest. Did I just miss something somewhere? /~\ The ASCII Mouse \ / Ribbon Campaign X Against HTML [email protected] / \ Email! 7D C8 61 52 5D E7 2D 39 4E F1 31 3E E8 B3 27 4B _______________________________________________ Soekris-tech mailing list [email protected] http://lists.soekris.com/mailman/listinfo/soekris-tech
