However, I'm unsure however, why the mSATA stops working only every 2 weeks. Are you running pfSense full installation or nanoBSD. A shot in the dark: The full installation crashed the mSATA. I've been making good experiences with pfSense nanoBSD on a compact flash card installed in my net6501. I love those nanoBSD versions with two boot slices and limited write operations. When I ordered my net6501-70 I also first thought about ordering an mSATA. However, I've read about many mSATAs failing from various vendors on different systems. That's why I decided against it. I'm afraid, you can narrow down the error only by exchanging the mSATA. In a first step I would try a cheaper USB stick. And just to stay on the safe side: Try a nanoBSD installation with it. May be you could also open a thread in the pfSense forum about your issue. There are many users running soekris installations.
