Hi Alvar, I’ve visually inspected the board and the caps all look good. In fact the board, living as it has in a soekris case looks brand new. Apparently ‘no fan’ == ‘no dust’. So I’m going to rule failed cap.
I think it’s more likely the BIOS/firmware is toast. It’s a shame really, as the board is otherwise perfect. :) Wouldn’t it be nice if one could short a pin and have it reload default/failsafe BIOS from a PROM. :) Failing that I suppose we’re in JTAG country.
