I have already procured the samples from TI which have the audio digitizing to USB function for both channels on the same chip. The whole deal would add only a square inch of board space to a typical Softroc radio. I'm sure that the current software could be adjusted to take the sound from the USB port rather that the soundcard. Infact, there seems to be support for external sound cards, what is the significant difference except the TI chipps may not look and respond to AC97 commands.
