   if you convert from analog to digital, then you cannot send those
digital data to the sound card anymore... the sound card accepts only
analog data, which are then converted to digital by its on-board ADC.
And you will gain some advantages in performing yourself the A to D
conversion only if your ADC is better than that of the sound card...
If the conversion to digital is done externally, then you must
interface differently the Rx with the PC, e.g. via the USB port. This
is exactly what the guys on the HPSDR project are developing. Their
Janus board seems to be fantastic, way better than the Delta 44, and
it will be interfaced with the PC using the Ozymandias board, which
implements an USB 2.0 interface. I am following very carefully that
project, to evaluate if/when adapt Winrad to it.
