The PC Serial port is not sharable! To be able to share it you must write a program that accesses the hardware directly. I don't think it can be done with USB serial port adapter.

I would like to know if there is any freeware serial port sharing programs out there. The way I have it set up now is the DDS is connected to a old P3 which a real serial port and connected to the home wi-fi network. DDS -- real serial port -- P3-server <<<>>>> Wi-Fi -- Laptop--Hyper Terminal. I would like to be able to use a terminal application on my laptop and send the data to the P3's serial port. I know of a few apps that do do this www.network-serialport.com sells one. Is there any freeware apps that can do about the same thing ? Thanks Kelvin
