Hi David,

Yes, I am using the SoftRock v9.0 and the switched bandpass filter module.

There are a three options on which way you can go, depends on what
firmware you have in the AVR controller on the v9.0 board, but all
work to fully control the bpf module.

The original v1.4 firmware supplied by Tony will work with Winrad if
you use Fred, PE0FKO's dll file:

http://home.ict.nl/~fredkrom/pe0fko/ExtIO_Si570/

Put that in the same folder as Winrad, when you start the program, go
to 'show Options', and 'Select Input', from the pull-down select
'SoftRock v9.0 Si570' and that will give you control of both the bpf
switching and Si570 frequency control over the USB port.

The v2.0 firmware from the SDR-kits group Tony has just started
supplying will also work in the same way as the v1.4 firmware.

By far the best option available is to use Fred PE0FKO's own v15.9
firmware and his dll file. This not only provides an additional Auto
Band Pass Filter mode where the filter selection is done in the
firmware, but also 'smooth tuning' implemented with the firmware.

The added bonus of this firmware is that using the ABPF option it will
work with all versions of PowerSDR and Rocky as well, something
neither of the other two will.

There are some issues with the v1.4.2 release of Winrad, but basically
it does work with some nice new features like being able to drag the
frequency scale or step the LO up or down by one 'screen width'. The
previous v1.32 works very well with Fred's firmware.

I wondered why there were no responses to my posting, now found out
there is a 'new' Winrad Yahoo group replacing this one. No mention of
it anywhere, and it does not appear if you do a search within Yahoo
groups. Fred pointed me in the right direction, need to send Jeffrey
an email via the Winrad.org website. I am currently waiting to join
that group. Guess this one is really dead now?
