Thanks for your answer!

I disabled the TV-Out from BIOS and likewise did not enable TVon in the
driver. Still I cannot manage to adjust the frequency of the VGA output.
When I set TVon=1 then I get PAL frequency ~50Hz but my TV doesn't like
this frequency on the VGA input and I would really like to drive the
output through the VGA connection.

I will search the directfb-users list to see if I find anything useful
and if I somehow could hack in another frequency into the driver.
