i think we can all understand your point very well, since we have many
years of experience with a piece of software and know it better than the
other...

but we can't forget there are still parts of the team intact. ones with
over a decade of experience with softimage and management that can make
decisions about who to promote. i know i freaked out when i heard halfdan
was leaving but i remembered that guillaume laferriere was making
significant contributions before halfdan left and that our rendering API
would be just fine in his hands (i dont know if that is his official
responsibility).
