Hey list! We got CG cars driving really fast, and regular motion blur for the wheels gets really screwed up when we simply have the geometry parented or pose constrained to the rig.
The combination of a forward moving parent (ie. car body) with a wheel spinning really fast creates a weird motion blur arc around where the wheel is supposed to be, looks like transformations are being evaluated in the wrong order. The only solution that works so far is to envelope the wheel geo directly to the old parent null, and cut the geo from the hirearchy, which seems to trigger deformation blur, and that actually works just fine, visually. My question is, can it be forced in any other way without having to resort to actually deforming the objects?
