Probably best place to start is right here - toss out questions such as 'what is the best way in Softimage to do sliding' or something like that and get some response from the people such as Raff on it - it might be also interesting to get into a 'I would do it this way in Maya' = 'How I would do the same thing in Soft' - to me rigging is more about little tricks one learns over the years how a Software lets you do something cool that may not be mainstream thinking.

Maybe Dave G. has something more insightful to contribute, but personally I can't say I have, to date, seen a single piece of literature or video that wasn't mostly a waste of time for someone already competent and transitioning over. Adam Sale had some stuff out that was well received (which I haven't personally seen), but unless he did something again recently it might be getting quite long in the tooth.
