I hated them initially, when I first tried one years ago, but then was forced into one (all there was at work) and decided that if it was supposed to be good for me, I should make the effort (ergo chair and good posture, not mesh itself), after a few months, because it took that long, I was hooked. That said, as I mentioned steelcase is excellent and, sadly, doesn't do mesh as much as HM, if you can find a showroom or somebody that has one I can recommend them.
