We use Aerons here at Carbine. I only endorse them if you sit in them as intended with both feet on the ground and sitting squarely with your desk. If you're one of those slouches, tucks one leg under the other, or sits with asymmetrical posture, you might find the Aeron uncomfortable because of the hard plastic frame. I've actually pulled muscles between my shoulder blades just from casually turning and leaning one my side to talk to somebody across the room. I'd also only go with the Aeron if you have a lumbar support device included. If it's mesh-only, you're back will be screaming at your before long.
I bought an Aeron for home from my local 'Room and Board' for $425 on clearance. As for Paul, you can get decent office chairs at a Scandinavian or Danish modern furniture store...or at least get some leads to good suppliers. We all spend a lot of time sitting, so I figure this is probably a good place to ask. A Herman-Miller Aeron Chair is a no-brainer, so if anyone has an alternate suggestion, I'd appreciate it!
