Sneaking suspicion that you might struggle to cache the mesh as it is probably 
not point consistant per frame.  Not sure if alembic can get round that as the 
Exocortex version can write meshes too?

Anyway - I would look at caching the particles and living with the mesh being 
generated at render time, should work ok.
