usually a spacebar, escape & click mouse button frenzy gets me out. *some* of the times indeed it does get truly stuck in an undesired mode. the icon often gets wrong for the mode its meant to be in as well. have not ever associated it with a particular version of SI , normally I would pass the issue off with 'focus' of the app as often its switching between alt tab various windows, other apps or desktops. it seems to happen on both win 7 & linux centos.
