I'm with Paul. I have not found a great solution, yet. I have also been using InranView. I have also started using XnView, but it doesn't handle video previews. I was considering making a web interface to browse my image/footage library, but it seems like too much work.
I hope someone posts a great idea about this. It is a common issue, for sure.
