Christos,
Some have reported the same behaviour. It seems there is a timeing issue in
I2C routine on fast computers. As temporary workaround it seems that it can
be resolved by addings some Cs over the SDA and SCL lines to artifically
slow down the timing.
I am planning to do this weekend a test with Jan G0BBL to resolve this issue
in the software, after which I will release a new PowerSDR-sr40 and
si570.exe (standalone control prog.) and si570.dll (Winrad driver).

Thanks for your interest.
