Vince,

I recommend you disable the on board sound card in the CMOS setup when 
you first boot up the PC.  I had a lot of trouble getting my Delta 44 to 
work as a single sound card when the motherboard AC97 sound device was 
still running.  To me sound cards are very confusing, as to what goes 
where.  When I have a lot of unknowns the best thing to do is minimize 
the unknowns, in this case getting rid of the on-board sound card.
