Maybe not necasary, but I found that retorqueing the head was 1/8th of a turn more than before. Did this on one engine only. Many not, and have seen no problems yet. Just warm it up nice and easy when going for a ride, and no problems will occur.
Spec is 2kgm I think. ____________________________________________ Ren van Maanen HONDA SOHC/4 Specialist CB350F CB400F CB500F CB550 CB750 Reparatie, Restauratie, Onderhoud en Onderdelen Apeldoorn, Netherlands Mob: +31 (0)6 1484 6559 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Website> honda4.nl <http://honda4.nl> Due to a recently installed spamkiller my replies may take longer than usual. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Giller,Bruce C. The consensus was to torque the head bolts down to the proper specs, install engine, and ride away. No need to retorqe the engine at all. Not sure if you could heat up the entire engine to operating temps with either of your pyro-weapons. Find an oven big enough and heat it up to operating temp...;-} Me, just torque the head and be done with it.
